Guided hikes to see the spectacular colors of fall. Learn about the geology and history of the Park as you are led to different canyons and overlooks of the Park. Meet at the Visitor’s Center at 9:00am, 10am or 11 am for guided hikes. Volunteer Interpreters will be at trail stations in the afternoons.
October is the Park’s busiest month! Lodging, camping and parking can be at a premium! 2 – 4 free guided hikes go out to see the spectacular colors of fall Saturday & Sunday. Although you will see great fall colors you will probably NOT see water falls. Starved Rock water falls are all snow melt and rainfall dependent. There is an exception and that is the spring fed fall at St Louis Canyon.
