Kishauwau Country Cabins is Illinois’ Starved Rock area cabin getaway. Our property is host to 17 cabins in varying sizes. They are spread throughout 55 acres of beautiful wooded property. Catering to large family reunions or a simple quiet getaway for couples, we are one of Illinois’ premier cabin rental destinations. Whether you’re looking for a week-long vacation cabin or just a weekend getaway Kishauwau Country Cabins is here to serve. Imagine, just a 1 1/2 hour drive from the southern suburbs of Chicago or about 2 hours from downtown Chicago, Illinois is an area with a multitude of things to do. You will love being only a 10 minute drive from Starved Rock State Park where there is plenty of hiking and activities for your daily adventure and Utica, Illinois where there are local shops, dining, wineries and antiquing. Or, if you choose, you can stay tucked away on our 55 acres of beautiful, quiet property at your country cabin retreat. Whether it’s romance you seek or getting the kids away from their cell phones and video games, Kishauwau has just what you need.

Kishauwau Country Cabins offers rental luxury vacation cabins for weekend, weeknight, and all-week getaways. We also welcome your pet to our 3 dog friendly cabins on our property. We simply ask that you read our pet policies in the “Terms and conditions” tab or speak with us regarding our policies before we okay them to come with. Each dog will add an additional $15 plus tax per night to your reservation with a firm 2 dog maximum per cabin. Our booking engine will not allow you to add the dog fee but please note any dogs in the additional guests field and we will add them when we see the reservation. Our beautifully constructed cabins offer a blend of country charm but with modern conveniences. You and your guests will enjoy a fully equipped kitchen, a covered porch (many with porch swings), personal outdoor fire pit, an indoor wood stove or gas fireplace (for winter time use, Nov. 1 – May 30) and so much more. The only items you’ll need to bring will be food, beverages, and condiments.
Close by you’ll find four state parks – Starved Rock State Park, Matthiessen State Park, Buffalo Rock State Park and Illini State Park – that offer a multitude of recreational opportunities. Bicycling, hiking, horseback riding, golfing, boat cruises and rental, are just a few of the many fun-filled activities. In the winter, enjoy cross-country skiing and eagle watching. Due to the nature of our cabins and the type of getaway we are offering our guests we do not do prom rentals or rent to spring break groups. If you are a party of friends looking for a getaway, we do not typically rent to groups of friends under the age of 28. This is taken on a case by case basis so please be sure to call us before you book if you fall into this category.
